John joined MAAP in 2017 and is a Registered Architect with over 30 years’ experience ranging from planning to construction administration and post occupancy evaluation. He has a long history in architecture for health and well-being, working across significant health, aged care, mental health and multi-residential projects in NSW, QLD, the ACT and overseas. He works with MAAP as a senior practice architect across conducting design and quality review across all our projects.
He has served in varying capacities and roles including feasibility consultant, master planner, urban designer, design architect, project architect, contract administrator and project manager. He has specific skills in safe design and risk management. He has addressed many conferences on urban design, architecture, and design for safety, health, and well being.
Before working with MAAP, John held principal manager roles at Brisbane City Council and for GHD Architecture. He was practice manager of the Queensland Architectural Practice Academy and practitioner in his own Architectural Practice serving a wide range of clientele.
